Oh, and I forgot: I tested the system replacing the Aten USB adapter with an FTDI USB to RS232 serial adapter. This cable adapter is used to connect the serial port on Celestron telescopes to a USB port on a Windows PC. Most PCs and virtually all laptops no longer have RS232 serial ports.
